PAUL KUMAR KALAI Advocate Paul kumar kalai, age 28 years old is a young dynamic law graduate with educational qualification B.A (History), M.A (Modern history) and LL.B (Law) from University of Delhi. He is permanent residence from the state of Tripura but since last 10 years he is residing in Delhi. He is the founder of "Chini Tripura" which is a Non-Government Organization based in New Delhi in the year 2023. In the year 2021 he took enrolment from Bar Council of Delhi. Soon after that he joined SLIC on 01.01.2022 he is appointed as a Law Officer under young lawyers fellowship programme, APPI. He has enrolled as bar member in Delhi High Court Bar Association and Supreme Court Bar Association. He is also the Executive Member in North-East Support Centre & Helpline. Presently he is practicing in the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, District Court in Delhi, Labour courts and Labour Commissioner Office. He has been extensively working on criminal law, labour law, housing rights, street vendor's rights, women's rights, disability rights, property rights, juvenile justice, bonded labour rights, rights of schedule caste, schedule tribe and minorities. Additionally he is conducting State Level Meetings and Legal Aid Camps with the marginalized people in Delhi. In addition to that through his excellent arguments he got stay orders and reliefs from different courts. Based on his good moral conduct he was selected by Special Police Unit for North-East Region, Delhi (SPUNER) to be a member of Delhi police North-East Representative (DPNER) for the state of Tripura. Besides that he also makes videos with a YouTube channel name @advocatepaulkalai in kokborok dialect sharing legal knowledge with his native communities. Languages he knows English, Kokborok (native language), Hindi, Bengali. According to him the law profession is very dynamic and inspiring, law has the power to transform someone life. Previously he was working in the corporate sector, but he gave up the job to peruse law. He is very humble and inspiring for the society. In India and abroad start-up is mushrooming very rapidly, he believe patent, design, copyright etc should be of the focus point for the legal profession community. He is interested on the subject called Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) which will be his focus point. He also made a lifelong commitment to work as a defender to protect human rights violation in our country.
